BOOKING GUIDELINES

When preparing to book your photoshoot, use the suggestions below to help guide you in picking the best time to book your photo session.

  • GOLDEN HOUR
    This is about 1-2 hours before sunset. The sun is low in the sky, and you’ll get that warm orange glow in your photos.
    *Be sure to check with Google what time sunset will be on the day of your session*

  • MORNING
     The sun is low and gives a soft light to your photos. Another great thing about morning shoots, is that popular locations are less busy early in the morning.
  • SHADE SESSION
    I get it – some people don’t have the luxury of picking the perfect time for your shoot, and that’s okay! We will make any time work. Most locations have shaded areas we can work with, to avoid harsh shadows and squinting.

 

  • LOCATION
    If you’re having trouble deciding on a location to do your photoshoot, scroll to the bottom of this page, where you’ll see a map of locations I recommend. If you still can’t decide, we can discuss over email and lock it in closer to your date.
    *My favourite sessions are in places that are sentimental to you as a family or couple. This can include a fun activity or an adventure that is unique to you!
  • WHAT TO WEAR
    If you’d like some suggestions on how to pick your outfits for your photoshoot, let me know in the booking description, and I’ll send over a guide to help. In general, choose something you feel comfortable in and that feels authentic to you.

         

        • TIME
          Make note of what time you get the most natural light in the room(s) you plan on shooting in.

         

        • NEWBORNS
          I do not use flash photography with newborns, so be sure to pick a time with the most natural daylight.
