Do we need a second photographer?
You certainly do not need a second photographer for your wedding day! I’m sneaky and quick and able to capture all your precious moments all on my own.
I find that having a small photo/video team documenting your wedding helps to keep it intimate. I’ll blend right in with your guests and capture all the candid moments!
How many images will I receive?
For weddings, you can expect to receive anywhere between 400-700 photos – but every wedding is different.
For lifestyle photoshoots, the session fee includes 12 photos. The full gallery will have about 100 photos to choose from, or you can choose to purchase extras. Please contact me for the full price guide.
What is the turnaround time?
The turnaround depends on the season. Typically, for sessions it takes 2 weeks or less and weddings can take 4 – 8 weeks. I try to get them back to you as soon as possible while making sure I give time to each and every image.
What is your cancellation policy?
A cancellation will result in the loss of your retainer fee.
When is the best time of day to take pictures?
My favourite time of day to take pictures is Golden Hour. On a sunny day, golden hour will give your photos that beautiful glow that you see throughout my galleries. Please refer to the Booking Guidelines when deciding what time to book your photoshoot.

Can you photoshop us?
I don’t alter the way you look other than skin blemishes or anything temporary that would not normally be there (bruise, scrape, pimple etc unless you’d like me to keep it in the photos). If you’re self conscious about something, please let me know as I’ll be sure to be extra aware of that while I’m posing you.
What is your service area?
Photo sessions take place within 50km of Hamilton. If the location is further than 50km, there will be a travel fee.
For weddings, I have a larger service area.
What does the payment schedule look like?
For weddings, I require a 30% non-refundable retainer and a signed contract to officially book your date with me. The remaining balance of the package cost is due 5 days before your wedding.
For most other sessions, a 50% retainer fee is needed to secure your booking, and the remainder is due on the day of the shoot.
Is our retainer refundable?
No, your retainer is non-refundable. However, if you need to reschedule, you may be eligible to transfer your retainer to another date, if you reschedule 30 days or more before the booked session.
A cancellation will result in the loss of your retainer.
Do you charge extra for travel expenses?
Fuel surcharge of .70 cents per kilometer (return) will be charged for photo sessions taking place more than 50km away from Hamilton.
If your wedding is located over 2 hours away from Hamilton, and you require me to work past 9PM, then a hotel room must be provided.
What if there is bad weather?
Weather calls are made by Effie 2 hours before the scheduled session.
I always encourage embracing whatever weather comes our way, as it’s beautiful and unique in photos. If it is harsh enough that it would not be fun at our shoot (or ruin my gear), then we will reschedule.
